Plan Wake - Guiding Our County's Future

The Wake County Board of Commissioners has released the draft of PLANWake for public review and comment. When complete, the plan will guide growth and development for the coming decades.

Here’s what we need from you:


1. Please review the draft plan and complete a 2-minute survey.

2. View the interactive map and share your thoughts.


Your thoughts will be used to continue to shape and adjust the plan as we move closer to completion.

PLANWake involved an unprecedented level of community engagement with 9,000 completed surveys and 150,000 responses to survey questions. The public feedback was resounding—residents throughout Wake County want to see a different path forward. Guided by community responses, PLANWake sets the goals for Wake County through Vision Outcomes, the Development Framework Map, and Performance Metrics.
